Audit of School Policies

Schools have a statutory obligation to have policies in place and, whilst the HR Handbook (which is available on this site) provides model HR policies for use by schools, it is at the discretion of the Governing Body whether they adopt them or choose to adopt some other policies. For example many Catholic schools may have adopted the policies provided by the Catholic Education Service in relation to disciplinary, capability and grievance.

In order for the Education HR Consultancy to be able to provide schools with relevant, accurate advice it is vital that they know which policies and procedures are being used in schools. It is therefore important that if you have not already completed and returned a copy of the fom emailed to all schools along with Circular158/06 that you downlaod Circular 158/06 and its accompanying form and return the completed form to the Education HR Consultancy as soon as possible.
